Powertrains & Performance
The Tundra makes no sacrifices when it comes to advanced power. The truck comes equipped with a standard 4.6-liter i-Force V8 engine that churns out 310 horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque. Not quite enough for you? You can opt for the available 5.7-liter i-FORCE V8 engine, which is not for the faint of heart. This fearsome engine boasts 381 horsepower, 401 lb-ft of torque, and can tow 10,200 pounds as a result of the standard Tow Package that comes with the engine. Both of these engines come paired with a six-speed electronically controlled transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), offering smooth, refined driving dynamics.
With its fierce engine options, the 2019 Tundra not only delivers on the worksite, but on off-road adventures as well. The Tundra TRD Pro features a burly FOX® suspension, 18-inch forged BBS® wheels, and an aluminum skid plate. With its array of off-road equipment and technologies – like its Active Traction Control system – the Tundra TRD Pro comes ready to venture off the beaten path.
To carry all your gear, the Tundra features a large truck bed that can carry up to 1,660 pounds of payload, depending on the model.
Just because the Tundra is a ferocious vehicle doesn’t mean that it cuts corners when it comes to interior sophistication and technology. The Tundra’s cabin is spacious, comfortable, and smart, as it uses premium materials in its construction and intuitively lays out the controls across the dash. To elevate comfort further, the Tundra offers dual-zone automatic climate control and leather-appointed seating.
All Tundra models come with a standard advanced Display Audio infotainment system, which allows you to stream your favorite tunes and offers available Integrated Navigation.
